Fondly known as the Garden city and the Silicon Valley of India, Namma Bengaluru is indeed special to all of us – be it we are Bangaloreans or not! Time to think about what all Bangalore has given to most of us – a degree or the first job or the countless fun-filled moments! Isn’t it our duty to give back to the city that gave us so much? Better Bengaluru, an event organized by the XSEED club of XIME, Bangalore, provides the student community with an opportunity to share their ideas to bring about a change in our city. The participants need to identify a specific problem that Bangalore faces across the given categories and present an idea for resolving the identified problem. ROUND I- Problem Identification & Abstract submission: Identify a problem in any locality in Bangalore from the following broad categories: 1. Pollution 2. Waste Disposal Systems 3. Issues related to Water 4. Traffic 5. Urban Planning & Infrastructure Example- Category: Issues related to Water Problem: Water scarcity in Electronic City After identifying a problem, each team has to submit an abstract with their proposed solution before 10th November 2014, 11:59 PM. ROUND II – Final Presentation:  The shortlisted teams will be communicated through e-mail/phone  The shortlisted teams have to pay the registration fee of INR 200/- on the day of the event (21st November 2014)  The final presentation should be sent to betterbengaluru.xseed@gmail.com in a PDF format latest by 19th November 2014, 11:59 PM  Final round for each of the ideas would be of 15 minutes with the following breakup- 10 minutes for presentation 5 minutes for interaction/ Q&A session with judges
